The jurisprudence examination (JE) is a one-hour, open book exam covering the laws and rules governing the practice of architecture in Oregon. Upon successfully passing the examination, applicants are required to appear before the Board for an oral interview. Examinations and oral interviews are held in conjunction with regularly scheduled board meetings. Click here to view this year's meeting schedule. The schedule is located in the lower left corner of the page. For the location of upcoming examinations, please contact the Board office or click on the event when you find it on the calendar. Once the JE and oral interview process is completed, candidates may pay the registration fee and become registered to practice architecture in Oregon. Congratulations are in order for coming this far, but the practice of architecture involves continued learning. As a registered architect, you must obtain continuing education each year in order to maintain an active license and you must be familiar with the changing laws and rules governing the practice of architecture in Oregon. Welcome to an exciting profession! |
